These shorts are cut on the Type 132 Wide Jeans pattern, but, following the season’s experiments with cross cutting, the pattern is laid sideways across the denim fabric. This governs the length of the leg, which finishes with a horizontal selvage line below the knee, and also alters the fit, pulling the shorts in a little slimmer due to the differential shrinkage of the warp and the weft.

Sewn with all-cotton thread and finished with a lost wax cast solid brass button. Made in UK red label.
