UNFINISHED COTTON MOLLETON
Unfinished Cotton Molleton is a heavyweight cotton canvas, woven in England, in a panama weave on an atypically heavy warp. It is the base cloth from which the fully raised molleton is produced. The yarn is either ecru cotton or cotton rope dyed with 25 dips of indigo in Japan. The ecru fabric is either scoured to preshrink it, or piece-dyed black.
